CODE OF CONDUCT FOR TRADITIONAL HEALERS

As traditional healers, it is important for us to uphold certain ethical standards and practices in order to maintain the trust and respect of our communities. Below is a code of conduct that all traditional healers should strive to follow:

.Respect for Clients: Always treat your clients with respect, dignity, and empathy. Listen to their concerns and provide them with the best possible care.

.Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all your clients' information and only share it with others if you have their explicit consent.

.Professionalism: Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. This includes being punctual, maintaining good personal hygiene, and following all relevant laws and regulations.

.Informed Consent: Ensure that your clients understand the treatments or rituals you will be performing and obtain their informed consent before proceeding.

.Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in traditional healing practices. Continuously strive to improve your knowledge and skills.

.Collaboration: When appropriate, collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for your clients.

.Non-Discrimination: Treat all clients with equality and respect, regardless of their race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

.Accountability: Take responsibility for your actions and decisions as a traditional healer. Be transparent and honest with your clients about the treatments you provide and their potential outcomes.

.Cultural Sensitivity: Respect and honor the cultural beliefs and practices of your clients. Be mindful of cultural differences and ensure that your healing methods are culturally appropriate.

.Self-Care: Prioritize your own well-being and self-care in order to provide the best care for your clients. Take breaks when needed, seek support from colleagues, and practice self-care techniques to prevent burnout.

.Community Engagement: Engage with your local community to promote health and well-being. Educate community members about traditional healing practices and collaborate with other healers to address community health issues.

.Ethical Advertising: Advertise your services in a truthful and ethical manner. Avoid making false claims or promises about your healing abilities and ensure that your marketing materials are accurate and transparent.

Failure to adhere to this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action. Council members are expected to fully understand and comply with these guidelines to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the council's work
